Last month, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a federal entity tasked with overseeing cybersecurity, was compelled to disconnect two principal computer systems due to a hacking incident, as disclosed by a CISA spokesperson.
The spokesperson stated that the breach has not impacted operations as of now and emphasized the agency’s ongoing efforts to update and modernize its systems. They remarked, “This is a reminder that any organization can be affected by a cyber vulnerability and having an incident response plan in place is a necessary component of resilience.”
